OSA Swap Meet

It would be nice to have an OSA swap meet once a year. Everyone brings the safe clean out, parts drawer, odd ball stuff, and primo collectables out to a venue on a nice Spring day. It could serve as a meet and greet too. There are several characters I've meet from OSA, and I'm dang curious about the rest of you nut jobs.

It could be in a parking lot, pasture, or just about anywhere. I don't mind setting up on a tailgate.

What are your thoughts?

I like the idea. There has been a few smaller meets like this but they never really garnered a whole lot of attention. I really REALLY need to purge some stuff!

Sounds great, but here's the rub...where we gonna have it? We have members all over the place. From Ardmore to Alva and Sallisaw to Slapout. I know OKC is a centralized location, but some guys probably don't wanna travel that far.

If I have enough things needing rid of and it was gonna be worth the trip I’d make the drive.

Probably be too far away for me to attend. I have some reloader dies, goex 3 f I got in a bulk buy years ago that I don't need.

I’m in BA, but OKC is definitely the most centralized. I wouldn’t mind the drive.

Location is probably the biggest issue, and I don't mean OKC vs wherever. I mean finding a place willing to risk the liability and put up with us.

Sounds fun. Main thing seems that somebody or somebodies would have to organize and run it. Maybe for convenience have more than one on different days in different parts of the state. Those that can’t travel far could maybe attend, those that can travel can attend more than one. Liability and security would be big factors. Last thing anyone needs would be an “incident” of any kind.
