I’m confused. Did I break a rule of the forum? I’m trying to determine what the current value might be. I do not believe an estate auction is the best market for the items. If someone wants to offer a reasonable price then it obviously would be considered because I’m not going to pay an auctioneer commission.

List them in the classifieds. That is the proper forum. :-)

You're good...you did nothing wrong or out of place, nor is it wrong to get every penny you can out of it. You will probably be able to sell all of that here if you keep it at current market or just below if you don't want to pay auctioneer fees.
Everyone needs primers and powder but since we are still in a modern society and aren't eating squirrels on a stick by a campfire yet, nobody is going to pay gunbroker prices either.

Just FYI, I saw 8 pounders of IMR 4064 last night for $210. I put it in a cart and calculated shipping and Hazard and I believe the total was $237. If I were selling here I’d price primers at $50 per K, but that’s just me. I’ve inly done trades here on this site because of prices. I still have not seen them as cheap as $50 but then again keeping stock on hand, I’m still used to $35-$38 per thousand. I did pay $65 for a thousand a month ago but was mad at myself walking out the door and swore I’d wait longer.

side note… at the height of this cluster I attended an auction in Goldsby. Primers there went for an insane $350perK. Frigging insane group-think!

Supplies are getting better. I hope the gougers on GB get stuck with their stockpiles.
Morons paying those ridiculous prices, just egg them on.

Then, they show up here, register and 2 minutes later expect to get GB prices, on a phishing expedition.

They disappear, never seen or heard from, again.

3 pages of discussion. I would guess, several PMs. Post it, price it and we will see.

There have many before and will be many more.

I think it's just frustration in general. You see a post where someone comes on getting pricing suggestions but then doesn't follow through with any for sale posts. I say wait a bit and see what happens. And surely no members here would circumvent the for sale section and start a bidding war in PMs. That would just be wrong.

He is. Guess frustrated because I didn’t accept an offer.

Wondering where the blast is for used vehicle prices…..

I can’t explain this enough. The primers/powder belong to my father-in-law. His immediate family is also involved. ANY sale, will go to his long term care. I want to make SURE he gets a reasonable value returned for what it is. If the market says it’s 3X more than what you would pay, then shrug at that buyer’s logic and move on with your life.

He posted only yesterday that he had some stuff from his FIL estate and didn't want to sell it (the primers/powder) at auction and asked what kind of prices he should ask? He didn't even have a chance to list anything and I don't blame him if he doesn't because instead of helping him out, a good chunk of folks reached way down into their inner A-hole and denigrated him and put him down for asking something as simple and straightforward how much he should ask for a thing. Very few people were helpful.
In fact more, it seems more folks were shi**y about it than helpful, and probably because they all felt he had something they wanted or were entitled to, and they weren't gonna get it somehow...not getting their cut. Selfish. There was absolutely zero reason to treat the dude like he was treated, and I hope the folks who were catturds are ashamed.

I would never ask for advice in this forum just because of the roving bands of jackasses that would not hesitate to pounce. Lotta good folks here but just enough jerkoffs to make it unpleasant. I think there are a lot of miserable people here who have nothing better to do than crap on people because their own lives suck. But what's one more new guy to run off from here, no biggie.

As to your members comment, don't count on that sh** bro...I've been approached by members who have lied about people selling stuff so they can get it. Telling me they've already made deals with people, or how they're supposed to meet them, etc., sometimes even after I've already made the deal and have the thing in hand or have already sold or traded it. I'm sure you're being facetious but it's more real than you think.
