My members comment was purely jest. That guy probably had at least half a dozen PM offers within the first hour. There was always a sort of pride that went around with finding something listed up and publicly stating "Ill take it." instead of trying to snake behind everyones back. I agree with some of your sentiments wholeheartedly. And in reposnse to the OPs above post, the members that tried to offer up in PMs with no for sale ads should not only be ashamed, but at the top of the do not sell list. Those aren't the people you want to be doing business with. They've already shown a penchant for for trying to circumvent the system to their benefit. JMO.

LOL, it is a gun forum. If there is just a sniff that something is up for sale the hounds will come a runnin! Just the way gun guys are. Like it or not, that is just the way it is.

My comment about putting them in the classified was a friendly comment. It is just cleaner for the forum if stuff for sale is listed there.

I follow current actual sale prices pretty close thus what I said was accurate. He knows what he needs to list for if he wants to sell quick or not sell quick.

People have different levels of motivation when they sell. Some want as much as they can get, but many just want it gone as quick as they can get for various reasons. Neither is wrong or right, it just depends on the seller's motivations. Price economics are a sliding scale, not a single number absolute.

disclosure: I did NOT make an offer. If he lists in the classified I will take a look, but really I'm not in on primers until they are under .05.

I’m confused. Did I break a rule of the forum? I’m trying to determine what the current value might be. I do not believe an estate auction is the best market for the items. If someone wants to offer a reasonable price then it obviously would be considered because I’m not going to pay an auctioneer commission.
No rule broken, but if you have an estate sale with a broker taking care of the sale you will likely have to pay 40% commission to the sale company. We just went through one of these sales for my Mother in Law.
Great way to get rid of the stuff vs taking most to the landfill but there are costs involved.
I think most on here are saying if you sell them outright vs paying the commission to an auctioneer or estate sales company you could potentially make more money selling them on OSA even if you're a little below current high market prices as you're not paying someone to sell them for you.

Make no mistake, car guys are the same way, haha. Ask them where to get a wheel with curb rash repaired and they will pile on with "in for the part out", "do you have XXX tiny trim part?" etc, haha. Scavengers, the lot of em.

And if the price isn't as low as they think it ought to be (giving it away), a lot of the hounds will be barking too. Just the way it is.

Those are for Berdan cases. Usually used in commie ammo. It would take a certain person to buy those as depriming berdan isn't as easy as boxer and you need other equipment. You might get a bit more than .10 if you find him, but then again you might sit on them for a long time as well. I would just price them the same as the rest but make sure the buyer knows they are Berdan.

They aren't worth double price or anything.
I think you are mistaken - not for Berdan cases - just cheaper primers - priced just like Tul ammo - I would be happy to buy them/some

also for the seller -- sell them - or at least some of them - at the estate sale and advertise them -- it will draw a crowd

I would sell the primers for $60/k and the powder for no more than $30/lb
that is fair and just under what Cabellas sells stuff for even in today's market
your stuff is not new off the retail shelf so there is some risk for the buyer
Sorry. I just woke up again from another COVID comma...Ha. Have you got primers and powder for sale? Pm me please if you do and if I'm too late to the dance, apologies

An update for some of the supply. Have these and can’t seem to find a current value.
Got any knowledge or history on them?!?

I know you can't get them anymore because of important laws. They seem like a speciality load for AKs and Swiss stuff.

I've used this stuff, it's garbage, if you was standing 50 yards away from an elephant you might be able to hit it a couple times with a 30 round mag, BUT, if you haven't got ANYTHING, it's better than nothing.

Oops, you are correct. Those are for 7.62 Nato ammo.

Thank you. Good catch.
