Are you talkin to me ? I’m sorry. I didn’t know there was such a thing but something is telling me I’m responsible. Sure sorry about that. I’m the last person would intentionally take over somebody’s space unless it was absolutely necessary. If you’re referring to my post I consider that not necessary. I’ll try it somewhere else Were someone has just as much time on their hands as I do.
have a nice day

Finished adding stuff to the 88 and took her out for a run today. I had zero sleep last night but I was determined to see how she shot. Raining a bit. Windy a bit. Cold....to bits.
Set target up at 50 yds because I was going to zero a 22 rifle too. Had 20 rounds of 3" slugs and I may not be able to raise my right arm again :crying: I'm not sure what got into me to do that but I did. Gun was shooting high with the slugs so I kept shooting. I must have overdid it because I started hearing the music Tubular bells from the Exorcist playing in my head the last few rounds:smash:. I finally came to my senses and shot a few 8 shot 2 3/4 and it felt like a feather brushing my shoulder (no feeling at all). Big spread with a short barrel and no choke but perfect for home defense. 50 yds, I'll tag'em. Inside 25 yds, I'll bag'em. Ha.
Put a scope on my ruger 10/22 and figured out why I've never used it. It's a piece of crap that wont adjust. I hate things like that and tossed it into a strip pit on the way home. I have a thing about doing that. Can't wait to go fish that pit soon. Monster bass.Get on
Figured I'd just stick with the iron sights on it.
Now I'm making a list of the guns I'm going to sell. May go deeper than planned on what I will sell. No matter what, I'll keep the guns I have time to shoot and I can reload. Can't decide if I want to do it at a local gun show or not. I know people are bugging me to sell them because they're afraid background checks will be required soon for local sales as well as tax. Ha. I'll get to it in the next few weeks..
BTW. If you want an idea what my shoulder looks like after 20 rds of slugs, google monkey butt. It's about that red. :tounge2:
Get one of these PAST Magnum recoil pads and never worry about a bruised shoulder ever again.

No worries for you about so called hijacking a thread on OSA...that's the primary fun of this site is to see how far it can go off the rails or in a totally bizarre direction...long live OSA!

I’ve always been the kind of guy to look down on recoil pads and such, but the older I get, and the more frequently shooting heavy magnum 12ga loads, the more I realize that they aren’t a bad idea. Having my shoulder look like hamburger for a week isn’t a good look.

I also find myself holding my shotguns more inboard than I should, a bad habit from AR’s and Lever Guns. Makes for sone odd bruises for sure.
