Fairy ring grass fungus

I have my yard sprayed every year in the spring and fall. I work very hard on my lawn so it has no weeds and looks really nice. A couple years ago I noticed some round spots popping up in my front yard around this time of year when the Bermuda starts coming in. These circles won’t have any grass growing in them. With the exception of a few. I asked my cousin about it and he told me the name of it which is fairy ring. He said there basically isn’t anything I can do about it other than water it and such. Does anyone on here have this same thing? And if so, have you found something to prevent it or at least treat it? This year it is the worst that it has been. I can get it covered up but it usually takes darn near all season. I posted a couple of pictures. The Bermuda has grown up even more since this picture so the bare spots are even more pronounced.

try aerating those spots and use a wetting agent in the water. water those spots more frequently

Fairy Rings usually don't make dead spots in bermuda. They are rings of toadstools.

Do you have a sprinkler system that runs short cycles every night? This is most likely the cause? Lengthen the run time and less nights so the thatch/roots don't stay so wet.

Did you get snow this last winter? Is it a spot where snow stayed longer before melting?

This. My neighbor has several in his yard where he had several dead trees that were removed years ago.

Have you tested the soil or check to see
If something is buried in those spots? We have a lot of limestone boulders around my place and If they are close to the surface with only a few inches of topsoil over them, they will cause dead spots but it’s usually later in the summer because the limestone doesn’t dissipate the heat very well.

Yep, saw one story where people had dead spots in their yard from construction debris that the builder threw out into the yard and covered with dirt.
