Windows 11

Who has it installed and are the initial issued fixed?
Back when it was first introduced a couple of the tech forums I visit advised not loading windows 11 because of some major security and technical issues that came with the roll out.
They don't say much about it now so wondered if it had been patched and good to go?

All Windows product roll outs have had ridiculous unforeseen problems. Not going to 11 unless I'm forced to.

I installed it on one laptop and have not had any major issues, but it does change things a bit. They put cut and paste behind an extra step on a right click. You have to get into a sub menu to use it and it's kind of annoying. That is the only thing I have come across in the months I have had it.

If you have an AMD Rizen wait until they fix an issue. Supposed to happen this month but have not looked lately to see if it is patched yet.

Ive had it for months. zero issues. I still miss windows XP lol

I have it on my laptop and like it OK. I can't get the update here on my desktop because my CPU isn't supported...yet.

I bought a new Lenovo machine with 10 on it a few weeks ago. It immediately upgraded to 11 during the first start up. I had constant and escalating issues over the next two weeks. I returned the laptop after I couldn’t get past a hard drive could not be recognized error. I tried everything, reimagining using an image from Lenovo, reinstalling 11, then 10. I finally took it back and got a refund.

11 works, but I wouldn't call it a solid version yet. I'd wait another 6 months for them to get things patched up more.

I upgraded loaded the Windows 10 to 11 changeover on 1/30. Haven't really had any problems, but to move crap and change around menus just for change sake is stupid and aggravating.

I'm running a Windows 11 APM insider version on a M1 Mac Mini with Parallels. It works. I only subject myself to this torture because I have to for my Quickbooks Desktop software because I refuse to move my company financial stuff online. I detest Microsoft only second to Quickbooks. There's no other option that's as easy or I'd jump ship right now.

I just set this new computer up in the last couple of weeks and my mind is utterly blown at how fast the new Apple silicon is. It's a game changer. My old 2014 machine was no slouch when it came to specs. 16gig of RAM, Fusion drive w/SSD and quad processors. This little thing runs rings around it while laughing.
