OKC gun club's newest range

They moved the plinking range (I posted about it earlier) to the other side of the 300 yard benchrest range and they are adding a 150yr (I think) additional benchrest range.

Should be ready soon.

The original (east) range is open now, but doesn't yet have 300 yard target butts up.

The new (west) range isn't ready quite yet.

This should take some pressure off the range. For instance, every Friday morning through spring summer fall, there is a series of .22 rim fire matches. All morning long.

Great for the guys shooting it, but it keeps others from shooting at all in Friday morning. That's my favorite time to go.

Now when there is a match, at least one of the ranges can be available for informal shooting.

The pistol steel target range to the east of there is awesome also. Hopefully they'll gravel the road to the 300 yard line, last time I went out it was a quagmire.

I was out there last week. The road to the 300 yard line was graveled.

I’m out here at least twice a week. I love OKC Gun Club!

Being a member has its pitfalls. Since joining 12 years ago, I’ve bought more firearms, ammo, and reloading components than I care to admit. Not to mention purchasing a Krieghoff shotgun for skeet shooting, an RV to travel for skeet shoots, and an F350 to pull the RV.

The new plinking range does have one downside. I was there last week and noticed a guy next to me, about ten feet, shooting at the steel targets to the other side of his “lane” so to speak. Did not break the 180 rule, but a little unnerving being able to see the bore of his handgun while he was shooting.
