I was going to ask if that was a drum. I was pretty sure it was. I didn’t know it was table fare. It was big, but I let It go. Just wanted the fun of catching it.

I know folks in Texas eat red drum.

You can filet drum just like a bass. Cut the red meat out and it's dang good eatin'.

Saw this guy foraging near shore and tossed a swim bait in front of him. He took it and and then realized his mistake. Short fight but fun.

I had plans to hit a couple of creeks today to test out a new fly rig but only got around to one and it provided plenty of action. The new rig worked great!
