My favorite way to jug fish during summer time is at night from my small boat. I like to use empty gallon water jugs. Drop a glow stick in them! Have fun chasing around the glowing jugs!

I do agree though that some people get trashy about jug fishing… I stay with my jugs, never more than 7-10 out, properly labeled, etc. I don’t over harvest either. Catch what I need and let the rest go.

I like about 30’ of mason string with surgeon loops every 3 ft. I then keep a bunch of circle hooks pre-tied on 50lb mono leaders about 1 ft long. Keep them wrapped around and stuck into a piece pool noodle, nice and neat. From there attach hooks at whatever depths I want, depending on the circumstances, and attach/bait them as I throw them in.

I see the trash all the time from lost jugs. I would like to see jug lines limited to 5 per person and no more than 10 per boat and must be within eye sight or they should be picked up.
Summer water temps kill a bunch of fish that is wasted. Meat hogs in late winter/early spring cover multiple good fishing spots up with 20 eyesores per person often 3-6 people on a boat.
What I would like to see is bass tournaments shut down completely. They clog up boat ramps, the jerks go around cuttingtrotlines before the tourney's, roar around the lake like no one else is on it and in general are a rude bunch. In fact the act of catch and release is hooking, tiring out fish and then throwing them back. Seems cruel to me. Catching and eating the fish of any species seems a lot more responsible.

Ha! I see you like to jugline and troll.
Not trolling. Have you noticed the mess Bass tourneys make at boat ramps and the extended wait times when launching and during weigh ins, the wakes 20-40 boats make blasting out from them? The noise? The common practice of bass fisherman cutting trotlines when prefishing? I fished tournaments for several years so I know what I am talking about.
