No different than when the South Dakota AG did a hit and run, then had to get impeached to get him out of office and only got 2 500 dollar tickets out of it.

Yeah, that was the one where the attorney general killed a man with his car on the highway, then pretended he didn't notice the body? The one where the glasses from the man he killed literally wound up on the INTERIOR of his car? Yeah, he totally didn't notice that killing!

I'm torn on this one. On one hand, she's a Dem and she's obviously not a good person (or driver), but on the other hand it was a cyclist so....

Watch the video. The cyclist rode straight thru a red light.

From the oncoming driver's perspective the cyclist was hidden by the line of cars at the intersection. Like the saying goes "he just appeared out of nowhere". So the cyclist was hidden from view, rode thru a red light, and the driver probably had little/no time to react.

1) The cyclist won the life-lottery that day, and should be very thankful he could walk away.
2) If the driver didn't stop (and left the scene of the accident), then yes - there's a wrong.

In all honesty, I'm not sure what the driver could have done.
Jail? no. ....Should the driver have stopped? Yes.
But people do panic/freak-out in situations like that.
