Original lender sold our note to a crooked company. We tried to get away from that crooked company by refi.
Refi company sold note to two new companies and didnt pay off original lender
Origìnal lender started foreclosure proceedings is how we found out. Late notice from new company then yet another company is how we found out there were at one time 3 seperate loans open on our home.
Missouri bancshare original mortgage sold note to
Household Finance (crooked) Greentree/Conseco (the worst crooks)
Citi bank
GMAC Homecomings
Greentree/Conseco bribed our attorney and because we notified Citi & GMAC that they bought bad paper and their lawyers went after Greentree Conseco, who immediately started foreclosure proceedings on us.

I moved into a steel frame metal barn with a living quarter in 2018 after living in a 1960’s dump for about 20 years. I still own the old house, and I’m planning to tear it down and sell the lot.
All I need to do on the barn so far is pressure wash the outside.
I like the idea of a barndominum. Seems efficient.

Another joy, having your mortgage resold. After four sales of our mortgage we finally wound up with chase. Our payment was due on the 17th of the month, I'd pay it online on the 15th typically, unless the 15th fell on a weekend, then it would get paid on the Friday before. Beginning every month on the first Chase would start calling asking for the mortgage payment. It really must have urked them that our payment record was perfect on our credit reports.

Where is it located? I might be interested in buying it.

Our neighbors up the road have a metal house/barn and they swear by it! It does seem like it would be easy maintenance. Does yours get noisy during storms or is it pretty well insulated?

It never ends. I constantly have stuff to do and my house is only 14 years old. Some of it is because I have OCD really bad but other things actually need done. But, I would much rather own my home than to rent. Even with all the hassle that comes with being a homeowner. I have a long list of things to do but haven’t gotten to them yet. One of the things I hate doing is cleaning my shingles off every three years or so. The back of my house faces Northeast so it gets mildew built up on it as well as moss. I have to get up there and spray the shingles with bleach water and then use a deck brush to scrub them clean. It’s hard work and I’m afraid or heights but it looks great when I’m done. And I know it prolongs the life of my shingles.

We had the entire shell sprayed with foam insulation before building the living quarters, and it still does get a little loud during heavy rain. After this long, I really don’t notice it much.
