Anyone really Like the Smith and wesson 500 mag?

Bought a 500 mag and shot it a few times. Just not for me.

I haven't shot one, have no desire to.

A friend bought one off Armslist, several years ago. Gun with box of ammo (49 rounds).
Shot in on Saturday and sold it on Monday, gun with box of ammo (48 rounds).

I had a single shot H&R that I kinda wish I had back. No desire to shoot it in a handgun.

They will put a grin on your face when you touch that thing off , but after the novelty wears off you realize it hurts the joints to shoot the thing. Thinking someone needs to make a stock for them to help tame the recoil.
No desire to own one shooting my buddies was good enough. By the way he gave it to his son and his son sold it (with permission from Dad) to finance a couple other guns.

I bought one when they first came out. Unpleasant, kinda useless. Not my thing at all. Mine hurt to shoot. I don't know if it was because the only ammo I could get was hot stuff, or what. I shot one years later and it was as bad as I remembered. I spoke to a couple of people who shot mine way back when and had also shot others, and they agree with me.

I would like one in a lever action rifle, though. That would be worth having.

I like big bore handguns but I've never shot a .500 S&W, just never wanted to. The guns are huge and not what I would call a handgun you could carry all day.

My brother bought one years ago. I shot it once, put on the table and said, nope. My brother sold it shortly after that

Big Horn Armory makes some beautiful lever guns in .500, would love to have one but there out of my price range and finding one used is very hard to do.

44 mags always been enough for me, I typically liked shooting 44 specials more than the mags for fun.

If I were to get anything bigger I’d want something like the 454 casull that can shoot the .45 colt. JMO
