At some point you'd think they would allow police helos to be able to engage high speed vehicles. Couldn't ask for a safer angle to shoot but straight down into a vehicle. Just like they do hogs on helo hunts.

I agree. Mount a gotdamn mini gun on that bastard. But, sadly, the public would never go for it. Especially in these days and times when nobody wants da po-leece around anyways.

12g with 00 might go over better at the city counsel meeting than a mini gun...baby steps though, baby steps lol.

This is a question, not a statement... why was the cop who got shot out in the open like that? Seems like he would have approached more cautiously, or drawn from behind cover (car?) since they expected him to have a gun?

I can't answer that. Adrenalin, maybe? Why was he [patrol car] in front of him instead of behind?

If I followed the footage and captions correctly, the bad guy was driving the wrong way up the highway, and the trooper got between him and oncoming traffic. Presumably, he was coming in from the other direction, not from behind.
