No almost about it. Call me what you will but the most racist people in America are black. If whites said half the things about black as they do about whites we would all be in jail for some civil rights violation BS. It gets worse daily.
I have been called every name in the book and I just laugh about it. Anyone that gets upset or hurt by being called a word is a gutless coward. What Gundy did was nothing. But with this snowflake generation it’s no surprise so many people are butt hurt about it.
It's genetic. White people have smaller skin pores that are densely distributed over their body. This keeps insults and racial epithets from sticking to, or harming the White target of such attacks. A volley of verbal abuse won't penetrate the pores, and just slides right off of the intended victim.
This wonderful genetic advantage can be defeated by mentally breaking down the White, however. It's usually done by convincing the White that they are some sort of victim. The best antidote for this condition is a blue-collar job for at least one year (outside work may hasten treatment), followed by a tour of Asian and Hispanic neighborhoods to witness overcoming obstacles and seeing folks happy to be American. WARNING:
this prescription may result in side effects such as cynicism, tribalism, and an absolute disdain for certain beliefs.
I think it’s fair to say that every incident with any ties to OU athletics has been just that, transparent. I know that Joe Castiglione runs a pretty tight ship in regards to the entire athletic department and has kept his position since he was hired back in the late 90s. Bob Stoops did his very best to run a clean program in his time there. He couldnt control everything but was quick to bring the hammer down on anyone who violated team rules. And to be fair, Gundy resigned.
I wonder what the result would be if the team were asked to vote on the issue? It seems they were the ones most offended - right?
Agreed. We gotta care about people and results. Seems ridiculous for a coach that is respected for abilities to have a problem over words. If I were a player I would raise a stink. I wanna win not get my hackles up over words. Especially when there was no ill intent.
I understand zero tolerance policies and can get behind them to a point. I don’t think the story is being reported in it’s true context. My theory:
Kid was on his iPad when he should be paying attention to Gundy. In frustration,gundy takes the iPad and says ‘let’s see what’s more important that what I have to say’. Gundy proceeds to read aloud the text,email,Twitter,Instagram,Facebook etc.
Like I said, just a theory. But, I need to know the extent of what happened.

Zero tolerance should apply to the players as well. If that word is used by anyone of any color, the punishment should be the same.
