6.5x55 is an awesome cartridge.
Light rifle, accurate, soft shooting, hard hitting.

My only complaint was the unique brass. I now shoot .260Rem. Identical ballistics, but plentiful brass.

This. I have a M/41B, and while it’s awesome to shoot, my supply of ”Prickskytte“ ammo has dwindled.

Does anyone have any experience using the 6.5 swede. Ive been thinking about getting a 6.5x55 swedish mauser any thoughts on what i should expect?
A buddy of mine's wife uses a Ruger 77 chambered for this and last year she dropped a nice cow elk in southern Idaho at 278 yards he said. He loads them with 129g Hornady Spire points at about 3000 fps.
Oh. by the way, she is 80 years old.
