Absolutely 6000-80,000GVW BEATS 175lbs every single time.
i have to remind myself of this all the time but I do most of my riding on the road anyway. I'm sure I'll get run over and killed one day but I would rather die exercising my freedom and enjoying my bikes that sitting around getting fat and being scared of the possibilities

something something... there's dead right and then there is dead.

And still run the red light/stop sign.
Thinking it over, I don't think I've ever seen an automobilist run a stop light or a red light (at anywhere from 40 mph to better than a hundred), nor speed, nor change lanes without signalling, nor drive distracted, nor swerve all over the road, nor go 80mph on a city side street crowded with parked cars, nor drive 85 miles an hour the wrong way on a one way street, nor throw things from a moving vehicle at passerby and passing cyclists, nor have I seen one driving drunk or stoned, nor do they kill--all that often, anyway--six people at one time, nor do they kill less than 30,000 people a year. Gee, those cyclists are a real menace.

Why all the hate for free speech?
yeah the guy is a douche. don't like what you don't like right
Never said I had a problem with what his message was. He was always good for a laugh. I thought the inflatable dick was hilarious. That said, if I drove down riverside drive in my car at 5 mph, I would get a ticket for impeding traffic. So why did he get a pass just because he was on a bike?

Oh, I don't know about that. Personally I tend to favor "sitting around getting fat" after 40+ years of working my azz off making others rich :anyone:

When anything becomes politically correct, people go nuts trying to fit in! Bicycling is a good example. Oklahoma has literally passed laws that exempt bicyclist for obeying traffic LAWS, stop signs, red lights, etc. Is that NUTS or what? They have created bicycle lanes all over Tulsa and other towns around here! In most cases they had to do away with one trafic lane to do this. I have yet to see one bicycle in any of them! But it looks politically correct!! We frequent Ike's Chili on 11th st. in Tulsa. The best Chili in the country, and the oldest restaurant in Tulsa, over 100 years old. Will Rogers loved this chili, and mentioned it several times in his news paper coleums back in the 20's and 30's! Sorry I get carried away when talking about food! You can't pull out on 11th st. from Ikes, without having a wreck, because they have parallel parking plus a bicycle lane, on eash side, and one traffic lane each way. You can't see if anything is coming ether way until you are out into the traffic lane! We eat there at least once a week and I have yet to see even ONE BICYCLE in these bicycle lanes, on ether side! But we look politically correct I guess? Where do they find these designers, probably out riding bicycles?
