Speaking of Scout stuff-
The sash and Eagle Medal and hat pin were given to me for display in my office by a 98 year old WWII vet. He earned his Eagle at the age of 16. Two years later he was at a small island in the South Pacific called Okinawa. I'm sure some of you have heard of it.
The shirt in the display was mine. The patch on the shirt was my dad's. My son wore my shirt with my dad's patch at his Eagle Court of Honor.

The big framed display is three generations of Eagle Scout memorabilia, mine, my dad's and my grandfathers. We gave it to my dad and it's the only time I ever saw him tear up. I inherited it when he passed. There's no room for my son's.

The small framed display is our four generations of Eagle Scout.

I want to say that I was given one of those desert camo new testaments by a chaplain while I was in the Marines. I wonder if I still have it somewhere. I’m not religious, but it just feels weird/wrong to throw away a Bible.
When I was on active duty, I collected several of them while I was at Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia. It was illegal to import bibles there. Didn't stop people from sending them to me in gift boxes. I was not, at that time, at all religious, but every time I got one, I'd find someone who wanted it, and give it to them.

I was a Cub Scout in Okinawa in 1975-1977
