I have a ar in 5.7x28. and is fun to shoot. the brass ejects down the magazine well. I am going to fab a brass catcher out of a old mag.

Yep... I have a Ruger 57. I love the caliber. I'd like to have one of these. Unfortunately, ammo is cost prohibitive right now for the most part. I'm hoping that since it's been adopted as a NATO round production will increase and the price will come down.

I picked up some American Eagle 5.7x28 from Brownell's Labor Day sale for about $0.64/round. Very expensive, but it's been trending down lately.
I've got a Ruger-57 as well, the carbine does look interesting. So do the Panzer ULT AR57 uppers. Can't afford either right niw since I think I'm going to buy my first suppressor before a carbine.

With 4 or 5 new 5.7 firearms hitting the shelves recently it sounds like the market is ripe for someone to tool up and churn out some $0.30/rnd 5.7 and take the whole bag.
