I started out with double action semi-autos for carry because of the safer trigger similar to a revolver and less prone to accidents. However, I hate the long pull triggers and feel like it is a disadvantage for a true emergency situation having that long heavy pull. Statistics dictate that I probably won't ever be in a real self-defense situation and avoiding an accident is obviously very important because it seems like a lot of the accidental discharges are with striker fire guns. I like glocks, but I hate kydex...In my research, lotta people don't recommend striker fire guns if you use a softer CCW holder (especially if you carry appendix).

So for now, when I pocket carry, I'm still using a striker fire (in a soft pocket holster), but I've switched back to one of my older rigs that is DOA for appendix carry (and gave up some capacity). I'm sort of frustrated because I have various strikers I invested in that I can't make use of except for range queens now unless I change my mind or switch to kydex.

Anyone else have the same thing happen or have any thoughts to add?

Actually first real 9mm years ago was dao, sold it and moved on. But just awhile back invested in p250, and been carrying it for awhile. 15 round and while I understand the dao trigger isn’t like other guns it’s not that bad and easy to use. I like them.

I’m a BIG fan of the P250C. It is safe, dependable and mine is very accurate. The P250 is an under appreciated pistol IMO.

What is the opposition to kydex? I carry my HK USP 40 in a crossbreed holster sometimes, but most of the time I carry my Glock 19 in a kydex appendix holster.

Yes, I am interested in the P250 (prob the sub compact version). I'm a glock fan, but I find it worrisome getting in and out fo a vehicle while appendix carrying a striker fire gun.

It is just hard...the softer padded nylon holsters just are more comfortable to me, AND they don't mar the polymer of your gun like kydex.

If your interested I have two, both subcompact , bunch of accessories also, grip modules change kit, etc, 9mm and 45 acp. Shot them both yesterday, very pleasant trigger and very accurate. I only need one.

If you p250 gentleman need extras for your guns I have a short 45 acp barrel, and a couple grips, a 9mm x change kit comes with every thing but fcu, and an extra sc grip module.
