I’m noticing a lot of people getting rid of pistol braces before December.

Does this mean I'll have to turn in my Chin-Brace?

So are they gonna have a tax stamp on the upper? You just need a tax stamp for a sbr
on one lower, unmounted uppers are not considered anything until it is mounted to
a lower. You can have multiple short barrel uppers and one tax stamped sbr lower and
be legal. The pistol brace has just been a skirt around of the law. The only one that
ever got approval from the atf as a brace was the sb tactical one. All the others have
not been legal all along.

The only reason uppers were mentioned is the direct influx of sales related to the popularity of pistol brace use. They’re being dumped on the new & used market at a higher rate than normal. But heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if the atf did a rule making on uppers one too anyhow, it’s not like the use logic.

So...I get a pistol brace and put it on a lower/upper combo.

Then I get a free SBR tax stamp out of the deal?

Hmmm.

Or would they require the brace to be the only thing making it an NFA item?
