yeah "forensics" is a complete psuedo science and just a way to extra judicially "solve" crimes. more often than not they just get a confession/plea, true or false.

hair follicles, finger prints, dna, "muh magical fibers", "gunpowder residue" all that crap is ABSOLUTE bs.

You obviously know nothing about forensic science. For your information, all those things you listed are what convicts most people. While those all are considered "circumstantial" evidence, ONLY eye witness testimony is considered as direct evidence. And, most everyone knows that eye witnesses can either lie or not agree with other witnesses.

And, most everyone knows that eye witnesses can either lie or not agree with other witnesses.
And it is important to note they are considered "circumstantial" because each of those types of evidence doesn't provide any context to its presence on its own. I feel like all the cop shows use the term circumstantial to imply it is a less reliable piece of evidence.

Correct. EVERY cold case ever solved was probably done with indirect (circumstantial) evidence. Most cold cases are such because witnesses and even previous investigators may already be passed on.
