Excellent video as usual man. Were going to have to start a Gofundme to get you a thermal though...the surprise pigs and tracking are making me nervous...an I'm not even out there 😄.

Keep hammering them!
hahaha, yea that would be nice. I looked them up a while back and it seems like they were around 3k-5k, so I'm going to have to stick with the poor mans night vision for a while. lol

The video before this one it was really foggy out and misting and that was really messing with the IR light and night vision. Does fog effect the thermals as well?

Some makes of thermals cut through the fog/humidity better than others. Surprisingly, while Pulsar doesn't have quite the image quality that Trijicon or N-Vision possess on a typical night, the Pulsar can be adjusted to cut through poor conditions better.

Typically, your target will still be very defined...it is just the background that has no definition. In misty conditions I can still pick up cows/hogs/deer out as far as I can see.

Get a thermal, get a thermal, get a thermal....😄

I have a Trail XQ38 and Thermion XP50. All of my recent stuff has been with the Thermion.

If you reach out to Brian (Carpe Sus) or Ben (HuntTXHogs) on YouTube, they can probably point you in the best "bang for the buck" on current makes and models. Both guys are much more into the current offerings and features than I am...I'm still trying to recover from my purchase 2.5 years ago 😄.

We took my buddies brother out to shoot his first hog last night. He also shot his first deer yesterday, so he had a hell of a day. His first deer and first hog within 5 hours! I'm pretty sure he is hooked now. He was already talking about buying a rifle. lol

That's the way to break in a new hunter for sure! Congrats!
