I thought long and hard about this and figured that it wouldn't be too bad layin' around a nursing home getting a nice sponge bath every day by some pretty young thing . . . but with my luck, I'd probably end up getting Nurse Ratched :brick:

Pretty interesting! This quote above sums me up. I can't wait to move along. My (current) sins are whittled down quite a bit at this point in my life and my soul is tired of being away from my creator, some days more than others. I just hope it doesn't hurt too much when it's my time.

Plus this world is just a wilderness. And I'm ready for deliverance.
Agreed, like the song says this world is only my "Temporary Home". I'm not rushing it, but I look forward to the day that I meet my creator in eternity.

What really gets to me is transhumanism, or getting ones intellect placed into a computer. This raises numerous questions, and with the great reset that is being foisted upon us, what does that mean to the rest of us?

1) If one's intellect goes "into the matrix," does their soul follow?
2) Assuming the above and the soul follows, what would a life w/o physical pain or pleasure be like? Would one become a monster without empathy? If the soul doesn't follow is it inevitable for a monster to be created?
3) As for the rest of us, the only people again who could afford this transition from physical to virtual do we become slaves to produce the massive amounts of energy produced for computing, hard drives, connectivity and maintenance of said equipment? Could people in the matrix actually take care of themselves? If they could would the world of "The Terminator" movies come to fruition?

Science fiction has answered these questions, and none of it has been good (accept maybe "Transformers," but one could debate that they were "born" AI, but a transformer is mortal.) Mortality is one of the things that gives life meaning.

Can you imagine a world where us Boomers NEVER die off ...*** 🤷🤷🤷

😂😂😂😂

***For the record, I am not one of those folks who wants to live forever. I have always been fascinated with what is on the other side and the older I get -- and more "other worldly" experiences I have; my most intense one after my accident a couple of years ago -- the more I am convinced we don't die. These bodies are imperfect manifestations. Depending on what day it is, I am more eager to move on than others, for sure. The bottom line is, IMHO, we are not meant to stay here forever. If they can make anyone's time here more comfortable, then more power to them, but I, for one, don't want to be stuck here ...

Anyhoooo ... The science is amazing to follow. And some of his suggested dietary changes have helped me with my pain issues, so more power to them.
The last regimen I saw him advocate for was pretty damn expensive, the supplements were Not cheap

He has quite a bit of info on you tube

True. "Non-aging" perfectly will definitely be a rich man's game. But ... There is plenty the rest of us can so to take that hard edge off growing old.

I am constantly told I look closer to 45-50 than I do 65 and it often makes me wonder just what I would look/feel like if I had been as careful with my diet/exercise/body as Dr. Sinclair has been with his. Because the physical aches and pains are NO fun at all ... But I suspect it is a bit too late for me to make any changes now and see any substantive changes. Who knows?? You know ... I guess I could take the month of January and give it a whirl ... What have I got to lose except a little time and a WHOLE lot of aches and pains ... 🤷 Hmmmm ... Now you've got me thinking I might just go ahead and jump right in ...

IF they download me to the Matrix, I will constantly monitor email scams and put some serious juju on those azzhats hard drives. Everytime they touch a key, their email, phone number and home address will be sent to EVERY class action suit, every extended warranty, and every MEDICARE Advantage provider in existence.

My dad spent a few weeks in a "skilled nursing facility" after a bout with meningitis a few years back, then he spent a few days in a different one (supposedly a nicer one) after a more recent hospitalization. I only got to go see him in the post-meningitis facility, but that was bad enough--its halls were literally lined with old people waiting to die. There's no effing way on God's green earth that you could get me to stay in one of those godforsaken places.

Nope. I'll go out my own way when my time becomes apparent. No way do I want to drag out dying ... (And before any of Y all get any bright ideas, no I am not suicidal. I just know I will not be comatose, in a bed with a soiled diaper, "pain responsive" only. Not me. That ia NO WAY to live -- or die.)
