Yeah I saw this. People are throwing a fit saying he got special treatment but the same thing happens every weekend in college towns. Not saying it's right or wrong, but 9 times out of 10 if the cops catch you drinking underage they'll call your parents and refer you to the DA, which is what happened.

One thing's for sure, I'd hate to be that boy right now. His mom and dad are going to put him through the meat grinder.

This is not always true, most likely it is in this case but some kids just have a rebellious streak that could not be tamed.

Even if he's not a hard handed parent the black eye that his kid put on his election was probably enough to push even a soft handed parent over the edge. At age 20 you can't do much but chew them out, but I'll bet that chewing happened.

It sounds like he was cooperative and probably respectful even though he and his buddies were liquored up. He could have acted like some of these little turds that flip cops sh*t and talk about how their job will be in peril because of "you know who my dad is?".
Doesn't sound that way at all and now he's gonna own his sh*t. Lesson learned. But haters gonna hate no matter what.
