Anyone heard if federal charges will be filed for him being under age and in possession of hand gun? Regardless of the constitutionality of those laws, I would think charges ought to be filed and let Stitt and his lawyers fight the charges in federal court all the way up to the Supreme Court. Winning such a case would be a true public service. :coffee2:

Charges aren't put together yet. Just turned over to the DA. This wouldn't make a difference in federal gun laws though. We need the Supreme court to step in, and some very slick lawyers that can argue that gun ownership should be legal for all adults without making them go the opposite direction and moving the legal definition of "Adult" up to 25 instead of bringing the laws in line with the current definition of adulthood.

Yeah, I'm an older guy that did some crap back in the day with strict parents that should have landed me in the cross-bar hotel but got lucky and matured out of it.
Some as has already been said, grow up as rebels and others as the golden child. I was the rebel and sister was the golden child.
My sons were under an iron hand with the memories of my youth not that far back when they were growing up.
Now we get some pretty good laughs telling stories about how they got away with stuff when they were growing up and how I got over on my parents when I was growing up. Both are great adults now, one with a son that is class president, straight A student and a daughter that's a hell raiser wanna be. The cycle continues.
Politician's kids are typically held to a higher standard as they are theoretically a reflection of their upbringing which is not true. Stitt's kid is just being a kid, although he needs some arse chewing to keep guns out of his possession when going out for a beer.
Nobody can explain how the brain and personality develops as we move from infant to child, to teen to adult and finally a mature adult.
Lots of theory's out there and speculation about how to change the brain in that cycle, like making infants listen to classical music, and more BS that has zero scientific basis.

I doubt it. Stitt has made him what he is already. No indication he’s a hard *** parent at all. The kids a product of his environment
One thing to consider is - when these kids grow up with very successful parents, and honestly Stitt is regardless of being a Govenor or not, he is a successful businessman, that often has an adverse effect on kids dealing with it. "who is really my friend and who just wants to be my friend because..." My daughter went to school with Garth Brooks girls, and she said they were always kinda standoff and didn't seem to trust people. I don't know that it is all that uncommon for them to try to fit in like a "regular kid" and yet hold to the standard and rules mom and dad say "we have to be different because...". Sorta like the Preachers kid. Surely not an easy life.

I came from the dirt. My dad died a month ago and it made my day.

Sorry to hear that. I had an aunt that I quietly celebrated on her death. The family was shocked that I volunteered to be a pall bearer. I just wanted to be part of putting her sorry arse into the ground silently.
