People who dump deer carcasses on the side of the road rant

Are there any laws around this? I live in the country but I’m just a few miles outside of town. This year more than ever I am seeing peoples dumped deer carcasses all over the place. It pisses me off.

It must be townies who somehow get the opportunity to shoot a deer. Then they think it’s cool to just dump the carcass and guts literally right on the side of the road like 2 miles outside of town. Pitiful. Part of the harvest is properly disposing of the carcass.

Not only that it seems like these people usually do a terrible job with the butchering and leave tons of meat wasted!

You're not the only one. The fringe between the country and city is where everything is dumped: carcasses, dogs, big trash, etc. Infuriating.

Yes laws are in place so contact game warden and possibly local police.

Oklahoma Law states: It shall be unlawful for any person to leave or deposit, or cause to be deposited or left the carcass of any animal, chicken or other fowl, whether the same shall have died from disease or otherwise, in any well, spring, pond or stream of water; or leave or deposit the same within one-fourth (1/4) mile of any occupied dwelling or of any public highway, without burying the carcass.

I'm betting it's not townies at all. Probably people who live in the area and most likely a neighbor. They know Jimmy Joe don't come out there often and they just throw that sh*t right in right there in a bar ditch.
I know nobody likes to think like that the folks in the country don't dump, but they do. Like mad too. I'm always catching people who don't wanna go to the dump, use a dumpster, etc near our property. They plan it out too, just to save a few bucks. Sometimes they burn it.

Unless it's got the name and address on the carcass I wouldn't bother a GW with it. All they can do is show up and say yep there it is. I'd rather wardens be out in the field where the can do some good.

Yep... I'm gonna guess someone fairly local, too. It's not just animal carcasses...people who dump anything on a roadside piss me off.

This might sound crazy to some, but as a land owner, I prefer to return as much as I can to my own land.

All of my waste whether vegetable or animal goes back to the land to help with the next crop!

I do the same, but my reasoning isn’t near as noble as yours. I just don’t want to be a d*ck and dump my carcasses in a ditch for someone else to have to deal with it.
