I'm surprised Tulsans are not up in arms about such educational travesties as this. I'm surprised Tulsan parents are not taking back the school councils from the loony left.

Maybe Tulsa is a blob of blue in an otherwise red state?
It's been that way for years, two blue dots on a red map and Tulsa is one of them. 1/3 of the parents want it, 1/3 of the parents don't/won't know about it, 1/6 don't want it but won't do/say anything and the remaining 1/6 will be the the small vocal bunch against it that nobody will hear and will go to the school board meeting AFTER the "deed is done".

Well folks, the government stripped parents of most of their rights a generation ago.

And with the social revolution we experienced, the conditions for parental involvement has degenerated into a complete mess.

Most parents aren't involved, loads of single moms, what do you expect from that?

The "men" of my generation and the one before failed miserably. Some of us tried, but I suppose taking the easy path is just too tempting.

Enjoy the fall, people - it ought to at least be interesting.

The groomers are everywhere
It's not even just "groomers".

It's a whole army of mostly female, some "male" teachers that have compassion and love for everyone. That's all well and good, but they fail to see how normalizing deviancy affects their people.

Bipedal primates have been tribal for as long as we have existed. If you want to keep your culture, that's what you better embrace, and be willing to make harsh decisions about the "others".

Most likely, Tulsans don't know about this. Things like this are kept quiet so it will seem as everyone agrees with it.

Communication between schools and parents sucks. I used to think it was incompetence. I mean, look at all the electronic ways to communicate that are available. If one good thing should have been possible with all of it, it should be the ability to keep parents informed and plugged in. Not so much.

How is this wrong?

"The sex ed program, called Positive Prevention PLUS, is an "evidence-based program" that "provides students with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to reduce their risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and unplanned pregnancy," according to the opt-out form, posted on the district’s website."
