I got a new CZ 457 22 LR this spring and man does it shoot with Lapua Midas ammo.

I shot the Lapua Midas (which I can't find any in stock) at 25 yards at a fun shoot last month. I put two shots dead center at bench rest through life savers.

Just as additional info, if you're talking about the 457 Varmint, additional new barrels are available from CZ-USA for $179 plus SH. I didn't have any luck finding them anywhere else for less, but it's been a year or so since I ordered.

I did have to re-zero after changing barrels, but it was only off by about 3 inches at 50 yards each time, so not a major adjustment.

have you tried any of the RWS or GECO? my 455’s shot it very well and CCI SV always seems to shoot well in my cz RF.
I have a CZ 457 in .22 MTR and the .17 HMR Varmint. In the .22 It likes the $22. per box Midas and the $15. S&K. However.. I found the $5.00 per box of NORMA shot just at good.
My 17 HMR Varmint shot the CCI V-MAX well, But the CCI VNT was smoking the Metal Targets at 235 Yards with 10 to 15 MPG Wind Gust.

Both Calibers shooting Silhouette Metal 6X8 pigs on a metal rail at 235 Yards, Love those fun targets

I also have the CZ 75 in 9mm. Shoots right on out of the box!

FYI. I've recently got some Norma TAC-22 and its made by RWS and is pretty good stuff. It's not full blown match level ammo but its close and for the money is a deal. Now I need to get a rifle for it.

I shoot alot of of the TAC-22 i think its the same as the GECO as well. Keep an eye out on palmetto state they usually sell it for 3.99, Think last time i was in academy they wanted 6 or 7 bucks a 50.
