Nope I am eating it.
I have seen free horses and donkeys on craigslist and think to myself HHHMMM wonder if they would let me shoot them on sight and gut them there and load in the back of my car.

But then I would need another freezer because all the coons and dillers and other critters in there taking up space.
I’ve been called on to “put down” a couple horses, but both were in pretty rough shape. I don’t think you would’ve wanted to eat them. :anyone:

What kind of sheep are those Barbados sheep? I'm obviously not a sheep expert lol
They are basically mutts. But lots of Barbados in there yes.

Lots of homesteaders around here seem to run a variety of the “no shear” breeds (Barbados, khatadin, dorper, etc) together and let them interbreed. They do well, diverse genetics, hybrid vigor. Great if you’re just raising them for meat and not concerned with breed registration or showing.

My family like lamb meat, and an opportunity came up for me to get 2 young rams cheap.

I bought them with the intention of just raising to market weight and sending to freezer camp. But they’re so darn cute I’m thinking of running more fencing and keeping a small flock!

The little guy with horns could have breeder potential maybe? Good lookin little ram.
Southdowns or Dorsets? I used ta raise sheeps.
