I wish I could put a nice garden area in our back yard and grow more, but the soil sucks. Needs a lot of tilling to break it up and a lot of work, and no I can not afford to build a raised bed. If I could I would have something like this but larger so I could plant more.
Heck, gardening doesn’t have to be costly. Just build stuff with scraps/pallets/free-junk like us poor country folks do
Sadly in Edmond it has to look nice or the yuppies call the city on you. Changed out a hot water tank a few years ago. Called for pickup and placed it up against the garage as neat looking as I could. Still got a nasty note from the city wanting to fine us.
I feel like an utter failure -- no garden gnome to be seen anywhere on my property. I'm gonna have to fix that.
