Years ago, before I changed phones - I had an app that let me look at a satellite view and apply a ruler to it, being able to accurately measure from point A to point B.

Any of y'all know of a good one? (the one I had wasn't compatible with my newer iphone)

google map allows you to do it on iphone. Not sure how far you need to measure (i.e. how easy it is to navigate large distances) but you can measure from point to point. May not be accurate enough for you, though

Yeah, this was a hunting app, I'm needing to get down to the yard. (figuring out a shooting lane)

Google Earth whether app or website will let you measure in yards, feet or whatever. Google maps is just in tenths of a mile.

not sure how you are doing it, or how accurate it is, but it shows me the measurements in feet pretty easily. At least the desktop version does. I didn't try the mobile version that closely.

For the desktop version, Drop a point, right click, select measure distance, select second point. Distance given in feet and meters.

edited to add, just tested the mobile google maps and it gives it in feet (again, assuming it's within your margin of error as measured from a satellite image)
