Colorado is breathtaking. Everybody should run the big name tails once in their life. Ozark national forest in Arkansas is probably the best overall for us here in Oklahoma. About a third the drive of Colorado with tons of trails, amazing water crossings and absolutely beautiful scenery. We ran a little over 100 miles on dirt in the Ozarks last October. 2002 4runner. Small lift, winch, 33's no lockers. 235k miles.

I used to a fair amount in CA. Had a '72 K5 for about 12 years. Was super nice but still took it on plenty off road excursions. Trails in Big Bear, Death Valley, High Desert and other Socal trails. Was a ton of fun. Ended up selling it in 2015 for $15K Was a good/fair price at the time. Been watching a lot of Barrett Jackson this week and looking on online, I could have sold it today for around $55K or more.

Wife really wants another First Gen K5, Second Gen Bronco or a Late 60s - early 70s F100 4x4. Been looking and people are asking stupid prices for junk.
A ‘72 just sold live on Barrett Jackson for $400,000 in Scottsdale.

I was there. Vehicles go for insane prices.
Take for instance this 70 Honda Mini bike…$7500.

Or this Honda ATC 350X that sold for $7000. Looks like it just came off the trails with the front forks skuffed up badly, aftermarket fenders with some wierd bolts in them for decorative reasons I guess? Nothing there to draw a premium price.

Lots of eye candy there though. Like this three wheel motorcycle running a small block Chevy with twin turbos.
Required a wheelie bar to run down the road.

YEah, i've been watching BJ all weekend long and saw that on. Tons of expensive First Gens and Early Broncos this weekend. It makes me sick. Mine wasn't a $100K K5 as it has some minor rust in the usual places and other minor things that needed work but had a strong freshly rebuilt SBC400, TH350 and Np205. Full Cage and real nice condition hardtop. Expensive PRP Racing seats and matching rear bench. It was a great 30' paint job Lots of nice upgrades but I did use it to offroad a fair amount. Still makes me sick to my stomach that I sold it.

I wholeheartedly agree! The first time I seen Colorado off Road was all the passes around Ouray. We did all of them on Dual Sport Bikes, 3 was on Suzuki DR650s, 2 Honda XR650s and a Yamaha YX465. Not even a mile up in above Ouray and called the wife, she asked how it was? I told her if I had to delete of two Motorcycle uses Street/ OffxRoad that I would sell every one off our Street Bikes. Less than two weeks after getting back from that trip I bought a bought a Jeep and took her up to Silverton Co for 3 weeks.
