Car washes for as long as I remember were 25 cents for a minute of "extra time" after you pay the initial $2-3. I have noticed the last few months that the car washes around me have dropped the time to 30 seconds for the quarter. One by me even dropped the water pressure so while you get 50% less time, you also get less water from reduced pressure.

I get inflation but a 50% price increase seems a little steep. Is this crazy or am I? Likely it is me.

If you think this is crazy, wait until you hear what water softener service companies charge for a service call… :laugh6:

All the ones in Piedmont have been a quarter for 30 seconds for several years. I did see last weekend that they went from a $1 to $1.50 to get the darn thing started and for only 2 minutes
Go to the one in Surrey Hills by the 7-11. Only $1.00 to get started and it had really good pressure.
