Ok, so I bought a hi point 9 sorta as a joke. Some industrious individual had already removed most of the finish on the slide. Looking for opinions from the ‘experts’ on what direction to go with it. Gold with rhinestones like the pic above? Camo themed? Maybe a chrome illusion paint? Black and yellow Dewalt?
It’s disassembled and in the sonic cleaner. This should be fun!

I polished all the black off of 2 of them I have and polished them like chrome.
But that Zamak did not do well with grubby fingers touching it.

They got splotchy.
I then found out you can boil Zamak (the slide) and it will take blueing.

It did not come out blue though more of a army green kind of color.
It is at 3:00 on the chair.
I like it.

You can't do Dewalt colors on a hi point. You need to choose a Harbor Freight brand colors.

Paint it pink. Then you can add the insult of being shot with a pink gun to the injury of being shot by a HiPoint.
