"DIY MGM" Spinner done! Backyard range update

Ok, finally! To refresh, new job allows workers to add parts to "drop" when they're sending material through the shop to get cut. So I modeled up a target like the MGM Spinner and when they had a 1/2" plate to run, got some pieces cut....and finally did assembly today.

It rotates so nice. Between hardware, bearings, material and cutting, I'm into this for $70. So stoked!!!!

Range now has a Pistol Spinner, Rimfire Texas star, rifle rated dueling tree and rifle rated "A-frame plate rack". I will get another Spinner made with rifle rated plates (which I already have) and will set it out at ~100 yards. I think the only tweak I will make is the bracket for the legs, they need to spread out a bit more maybe.

Did I mention I'm stoked???

When the snow melts some more I will rearrange the targets and get the Spinner in its new home.

I got it to turn in 12 shots with one being a miss shooting 9mm 150gr subs. Some practice with better shot placement and I can probably get that to about half then work on spinning it multiple times with one mag? This thing is way fun.

I guess I will try to figure out counterweight to make the bottom even heavier, and start backing up.

If you had window weights you could hose clamp them to the bottom of the legs.

Just tried it at night with the Surefire X300U....that's a different ballgame LOL
I got it about half way then swing and a miss
