If you walk through Home Depot they are putting a lot of product in cages for the same reason. Tried to buy 25 ft of romex and had to get someone to open up and walk me to the front.
Thieves suck!!
Less than $100 that these fools are putting their freedom on the line for.
Do not understand that at all.
Why is that? No one is locking up any thieves that steal hundreds of dollars worth of anything anymore. In Texas they have announced they will not arrest anyone who takes less that $700 worth of something.

It's been like that at most businesses in Oklahoma for a long time now. Folks are crazy, do not approach.
It's not worth some employee getting injured to try to stop a thief anyway since nothing is ever done to them. I'm not going to risk getting injured for something that the store has insurance for anyway. Until the government passes laws that allow stores to really protect themselves from this crap with hired, armed guards, it's going to continue to get worse.

Armed guards are usually told to let shop lifters walk as well.

You can thank the whiney butt liberals and politicians for that. They changed the laws in Oklahoma that make a lot of shoplifting a misdemeanor with very little penalties.

And then there’s the ones that say the people that are stealing can’t get jobs or afford the stuff they “need”. Or, it’s just material things, no one got hurt.

I know if you get robbed at your farm, let's say. They take $4,999 worth of stuff due to laws they get a slap on the wrist. It's only bad if over $5,000. Unless it had a serial number and they pawn it. Apparently if you lie on your pawn agreement you screw yourself and all your friends and their friends that were smoking meth with you. Then the law has teeth and they sink them in as far as they can. Ask me how I know, and no it wasn't me or my friends with the meth or selling it at the pawn shop. The DA likes people who pawn stuff they don't own provided you can prove you are the owner. They can take your stuff and sell it back to you and you know it's yours if they are in a different county than it happened in there is nothing you can do. I could be wrong but this is what I understand.
