When I went to Russia we went to a big monument/memorial and they had the grave (or at least a marker with his name) of that famous sniper Vasily Zaitsev there (among others). It was at what used to be called Stalingrad (Volgograd now) on a big hill that was said to have changed hands several times during the battle. My Russian co-worker that took us there said his father fought there. Pretty cool.
