I was gonna buy one, but the 1x isn't true 1x and that is what I wanted it for the most.

Yea, But from what I have been reading all of the true 1X scopes are very pricey. The closest scope I can find that has close to the same specs as the DMS is the Burris Euro diamond at $520. And it doesn't really blow it out of the water.

I'm kinda torn between the DMS and an Aimpoint. Heard a lot of good things about the aimpoint but who can afford to put a magnifier on it?

The DMS is NOT a replacement or substitute for a red dot, the reticle washes out in daylight.

You will also need a lot of eye relief, so budget for a quality mount.

You can probably get into a Meopta with a daylight visible reticle and (I think) a true 1X, in a nice LaRue mount and be less than an aimpoint with a 3X magnifier if you shop well.
