I have a Sub2K. It serves its purpose, and goes bang every time. I went this route for 2 reasons:
1. They're cheap
2. They take the same mags as my G17

The subby is in the only way to go for small carbine. IMO. (Even though mine is forsale.) I absolutely love it! Little recoil, takes same mags as G17. Quad Rail available now, just overall great rifle. I would be keeping, but I don't just want it sitting in the safe.

Marlin Camp 9 They are getting harder to find but well worth it. They take S&W mags and are accurate. May not be as tacticool as the others mentioned but they get the job done.

I would go with a 9mm upper on the AR platform. Make sure you replace your trigger and hammer pins with a set of KNS pins. Those that don't will find out why they should after they break their hammer pin.

I would also recommend a top loading mag block. They are easy to install and remove if you want to change uppers. Most have a dedicated 9mm rifle and don't switch back and forth. If you budget allows you might be able to do the same.

I would recommend a Hi-point 995. Ya, it's ugly but a great value for less than $200. I've got one about 3 months ago and slapped it in an ati stock and now it's one of my favorite guns I own. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact the mags are only 10 rounds.

All good advice. Only issue I have seen with the top loading mag block is you lose the bolt hold open feature. Something to consider, but they aren't going anywhere once installed; ie they won't come out with a mag.

Hey all, I am looking into getting some sort of 9mm carbine. Anyone have a Ruger PC9, Beretta CX-4, Kel-Tec SUB2000, or one of the Colt or Oly AR style nines? Any feedback would be appriciated.

Well, you *might* wanna do what I'm doing at present in my holding pattern: MSAR MCS-08 or BUST!!

Rusty, that one is suh-weeeeet!! I'm not worthy....
