Well the M-16 with that stock # shows sold, so I don't know how much they were asking. But, if you have the funds to get a Colt M-16, I'd say definitely go for it. The AC-556 has the benefit of factory support at half the price, so that's an attractive option. I wouldn't choose the 76 if I had the means for the other two.
When you say AC-556 what is AC. thanks

If I had the money, I'd have to go with the M-16.

Parts are everywhere. You can work on it yourself. The M-16/AR-15 platform is the most popular rifle there is right now.

M-16 since it it easy to work on, multiple upper configurations and parts are plentiful. I used to have a MP5 and ended up parting it out to get a M-16 for the same reasons. Sometimes I wished I still had the MP5 and then got the 91 and 93 for other host weapons.
