Your at it again arn't you Evan, does it ever stop. LOL

Well, I tell ya.

After this past weekend, I discovered that I just ain't no rifleman. :disappoin I dunno why, but I just can't hit **** with any kind of rifle! :ugh2: I can score high 90's all day long with a pistol, revolver and scattergun, but for some reason I just can't center up a rifle.

:loser:

That is one gorgeous shotgun! But my first thought was:

"How many rounds are you docked for that short of a mag tube?"

Wilson lists a capacity of 5+1 rounds. Hmm, that's two less than I could carry with a 18" barrel... Is it worth the $500+ premium over a regular 870 with all those accountrements? To me - no. But boy, is it lovely-looking :)

To me, it's not so much the ammo thing as it is the utility of this weapon. I mean, my Mossberg 590 holds 7 (or is it 8 ) in the mag but I've only got 6 in it. My patrol car doesn't have a rack to secure my shotty, so it just rides on the front seat next to me.

A bad practice, I know. :rolleyes2

And hauling that 20 inch beast out of the car is quite a chore. I figure with this short 870, bringing it out and into play will be a breeze.

Evan, how often do you shoot? If you shot more often, you would get back into it. I would not let the whole rifleman thing go just because you had a bad day. It comes down to the more you shoot the more you stay in practice.

Yeah, but I'm not even consistent! :ugh2:

I was all over the paper as if I was shootin' buckshot. And what's worse, is that I was only about 50-60 yards away! :rolleyes2

Here's me...only this is when I shoot a rifle - not a pistol. ;)

GED, I can't believe I'm going to say this but here goes. I cannot see parting with 3 of my weapons in order to get an SBS. Keep in mind that I'm fortunate to have a few stamps in my collection and love each and every one of them, but I don't see the SBS being worth the sacrifice you're contemplating. An SBS of some sort is on my list of things to do at some point but it won't cost me anything that I'll miss when I get there.

Okay, I am very ignorant. I thought LEO could own SBR / SBS without all the NFA BS. Obviously not, or you wouldn't be having this problem...but how is this different than a cop owning a 14" select-fire CAR? Or does the department have to own and issue the "evil" stuff?

On another note, I know I won't pay $200 for 4 in. My wife said she wouldn't either. Can I borrow $200?
