Anyone know what the BATF's ORI number is off hand?

ORI info is:

WVATF0800
ATF-NFA BRANCH
MARTINSBURG, WV

It looks like everyone has covered everything else. As for the "Caliber", put down the Primary Caliber you will be using. ATF often rejects Form 1's with "Multi" listed as the caliber.

Couple ?'s on filling out the form 1.
If your lower is marked multi for caliber do you put that on the form 1 or do you put down the caliber of your upper? If you want to use the same lower and differant uppers of differant calibers wouldnt it be multi??

1 Certificate of citizenship form? What does this consist of and where do you get it?

Can you do the fingerprints on AFIS (which is the same form but doesnt have the blue lines) or do they have to be done on the applicant card with the blue lines? Anyone know what the BATF's ORI number is off hand?

Thanks guys

Robert easier route would be to go the trust route, no prints, no photo's and no need to ask the chief to sign your approval form.

What is involved in doing the trust and what is the difference? If you die can you pass it to someone else, say a family member??

I don't think I will have a problem getting the sheriff to sign for me since I work for him.:rotflmao:

We do all our prints through AFIS and it has a place to enter the BATF ori #. I just didn't know if ATF would accept them?

Thanks for all the help guys

NFA items transfer tax free on an ATF Form 5 to a lawful heir if you file as an individual. I do not know how it works with a trust as I have always gone the individual route myself. Never seen the need for a trust myself as the CLEO signoff and prints are no big deal and I print my own photos. I can see using a trust if you can't get a signoff.

I know of a few folks who used AFIS and ATF accepted them. I do not see why they wouldn't as long as they had the correct ORI info.
