So I sent off my form 1 and trust paperwork today I'll post how long it takes here. Now the wait begins!

14JAN10- Forms and tax submitted. (moments later started drooling over SBR pic threads)

Awesome!!!

I sent off my paperwork to Major Malfunction a few days ago on a can. What are the current wait times on suppressors? I was hearing 4-6 months, but that was a few months ago during the peak of the craze. I'm hoping it's less now.

yeah i hear ya i hope its a lot less than 4-6 months! from what i've gathered it depends on a few things. what your last name starts with determines what specialist you get and some are quicker than others. i don't really know if you use a form 1 or form 4 matters. I've herd that using a trust is somewhat faster than going the individual route as it forgoes the background check. and again i don't know if what your trying to register matters or not weather it be a SBR, SBS, AOW, MG, DD, or a suppressor. as for myself i used a form 1 with a trust for an SBR and a postal money order. and my original intent for this thread was to give updates as things change in terms of approval (delivery conf of the papers, check cashed, approved, in hand.) i really hope this theme takes off as it would be nice to know what method is the most effective. and which specialist is responsible for what part of the alphabet and what their average turnarounds are for the various forms and wepons.

just my thoughts. maybe some of the mega posters will chime in....

so I had a missed call from the BATFE. when I called back i did the run around for a half hour before one of the technology guys finally told me it wasn't even in the system yet.

so now question for ya'll... if your assigned to your specialist by the first letter of your last name. who gets it if you used a trust?

Any idea what they called about? I submitted my paperwork 1/6/2010. I sent in a Form 4 with my trust paperwork and a postal money order.

Maybe they do it based on the first letter in the name of your trust.

I live in NV by the way. I just found this thread with Google

No I don't know what they called about but I am way curious. I would call back and try again but I don't want to pester them. If it was a show stopper or if something was wrong I hope they would try to call again.
