I looked long and hard to find a machinist that would do that to my .308 barrel - I gave up because the only place I could find wanted more than the barrel cost.

Sounds like a dimpled barrel to me too. KAC has some freakishly bad ass setups that include them. Adco dimples barrels, and there is a member on AR15.com (SR-47) that dimples them as well. I believe that they each use a slightly different pattern.

thanks man. i talked to the guys at KAC, and they wont be using the dimpled barrels on the stoner series rifles right now, the only way to get one from them is to get the new not yet released magpul/KAC rifle thats coming out. no uppers are planned to be sold either.

Try DEZarms.com

do you have any of their barrels? ive read mixed things about the quality of the barrel and dimpling they do.

the price may reflect that. if i read it correctly a dimpled 16" ar barrel is $168.

thanks for the link though. i got in touch with a guy that KAC reccomened and hes only about 3hours from the house. so ill be sending them there.
