I have an Uncle Mike's and left it at home on one of my trips out of town. I stopped in a shop and they had the Galco in stock so I bought it. I have not used the Uncle Mike's since - the Galco is much better. I think I paid ~$25 for it.

I alternate between two:

* Robert Mika pocket holster, round cut. Here's a pic. $29.95. Awesome for concealment and comfort. It makes my 642 practically disappear in a pair of jeans. On the other hand, it's not quite ideal for holster retention (i.e., holster staying in the pocket on the draw). I have tweaked my draw stroke to add just a touch of backward arc (pull out and back) and that helps with retention when using the Mika. By the way, Mika himself is retired LAPD and a really nice guy; he will probably call you personally to go over your order.

* Galco pocket holster. Here's a pic. $59.95. A stiff-framed horsehide holster. Very well made. Its pros and cons are kind of the flip side of the Mika. Perfect holster retention, regardless of draw stroke. (You can just lift the gun straight out. Less to worry about.) Easy to reholster b/c the mouth stays held open. However, concealment is not as good -- the stiff edge of the holster will put a crease in your pocket. For that reason I prefer to use the Galco with slacks instead of jeans. My slacks are creased in the front anyway; it tends to blend in.

Those are my two pocket holsters. I like different aspects of each of them. (I have also tried the DeSantis Nemesis but found it to be basically a worse version of the Mika, with all its faults but not all of its strengths.)

Still trying to find the pocket holster that combines a super low profile with excellent retention and ease of use. I might have to try the Milt Sparks. I have had a wonderful experience with their IWB holster (Summer Special II)!

Well I don't carry an Airweight, but an all steel J-frame. I use a Don Hume French Curve.
