After a few weeks off to get new backstops in place, Sgt. Everett's is back in business. Improved lighting, and better ventilation to keep the air clear (a huge fan at one end of the lanes...open to the atmosphere at the other).

The target pulleys are still manual, but they added some pulleys halfway down the range to lift the targets higher.

Looks like I'll have to find out where they're at. I'm just getting into shooting and the last time I looked for gun ranges the closest I found was H&H.

I talked to my buddy the other day from Red River Ammo and he said Everetts is now carrying their ammo in the range too (wasn't carrying any last I knew). Not sure on prices or anything, but at least they have some there in case you didn't bring enough or decide you want to shoot some.

Is Sgt Everett's still pistol only? I went there a while back with a .22lr AR-15 with a 5" barrel and they told me i couldn't shoot it on the range. Didn't make any sense to me but nevertheless i haven't been back

Yeah their backstop wasn't good enough for rifles and what have you last I went.... I know they were making upgrades and considering converting it to being able to do rifles too, but not sure if they did or not. good question.

Don't know how long ago "a while back" indicates. The rimfire rifle lanes have been open for several months.

When they opened last summer, they weren't set up for rifles. The backstops have been improved, and they've opened some lanes (maybe six?) for rimfire rifles.

If in doubt, give them a call. 405-639-1011

went there this past saturday. you can now shoot .22 and shotguns (but no slugs). The backstops aren't adequate for high power rounds yet however Shawn told me that they are working on that. apparently the plan is to improve the backstops so that high powered rifles can be allowed on the range. When I went, there didn't seem to be any ammo. Asking about this I learned that Sgt. Everett's decided to stop carrying it because of its high cost (seriously, it was somewhat overpriced...something like $17 per box of 50 9mm rounds)
