It finally got here Friday, hooray! It wound up being a Fathers Day present from Me to... Me! Didn't expect that when I started this, but it's a fun way to wind it up. :D

Now to take it out and have fun with it at OFASTS next weekend! Yay!!!! :D

Congrats! MP-40 as in Erma/Schmiesser WWII 9MM German submachine gun? There was one of these around that was transferable? Hope you got functioning magazines for it. That was a problem for me years ago when I owned an Ingram M-10 9MM subgun. They worked for a few years, then out of six thirty rounders all of a sudden I had one mag that fed reliably, most of the time. Found out the exact configuration of spare mag was near impossible to find. Vendors row at the OFASTS could'nt seem to identify the right one. Sold me a wrong one that I tested immediatley and returned when it would'nt feed three rds without a failure. Bummer. Hope yours runs great! Give us a field report when you can. I just realized your probably talking about H&K. Chambered for .40 S&W?

I think hes talkin about the Erma... The Hk would be an MP5/40 and technically, it would be a MP5/10mm.

LOL! It's the WWII German MP 40, the famous WWII German "burp" gun you see in all the movies, I never even heard of the HK one in .40 cal, lol!

I've got a pile of original steel WWII mags for the gun, and haven't tried them all, but all i've tried do work. One of the problems though with the Macs, is that the mags are cheaply made, plastic if I recall correctly? "Zytel" I think I remember the ads being? I've never ever owned a MAC, but I did own a STEN gun, and there were some sten mags that just never worked either. You just went on to the next one, and tried those in a different gun.

I'll try to post some pics!

I'm a little excited! :w000t:

Thats sooo coool! I love WWII era firearms. Above all my guns, my 42 Thompson and my pre 40's Nazi Walther PP32 are my most prized possessions.
