And thanks to the okc crew for making me feel welcome!

Zeke,

Keep your guard up. They might be vampires. Vampires are always nice - at first.

I carry a mag full of .40 loaded with silver bullets and keep a kevlar neck guard handy. Your choice, but it never hurts to be prepared.

Gary - As others mentioned I also lost my virginity at the August Match in Steel Challenge. It was fun and Thanks Very Much for putting it on. Now about your "in" or lack thereof with Mother Natuire and her "Hot flashes"!

Yes, it was crazy hot! I have ordered some cooler weather but it won't be here until December. For the hottest day of the year we had the most shooters we have ever had.

That is crazy!!! I was honestly expecting a low turn out due to the heat. Gary, you and your wife and crew put on a great match that I look forward to every month! Thanks again for all of your hard work.

Can anyone help me with some information please?:
Because I would love to try a rimfire steel challenge match.

Can a total newbie enter?
Where are the matches held?
How many 10 round magazines do I need?
I have a CZ-75B Kadet and a Ruger Mk-III 22/45,,,
Are either of the pistols suitable for rimfire steel challenge?

Is there website that will answer these (and more) questions?

I'm a 58 year old kid,,,
I just want to have some fun,,,
Socialize with like minded gun people,,,
I'm willing to help at an event to learn the ropes.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Where are the matches held? There's one this Sunday in Mcloud, OK. Check out the Competition and Upcoming Events thread for more
How many 10 round magazines do I need? I'd recommend 4 minimum, but you can get by with less. If you don't miss much, you can shoot each stage with 3.

Are either of the pistols suitable for rimfire steel challenge? Heck yes, they are perfect.

Is there website that will answer these (and more) questions? Just ask here...bring yourself out on Sunday and hop on a squad. There are an abundance of people willing to show you the ropes.
