Can this be right? Nearly a 1000lbft of energy?

Likely somebody cut and pasted from an original document... no telling who provided it.

Cheaper than dirt is notoriously bad about this (and then blaming the original source for the inaccuracy - even if it wasn't the manufacturer).

I'd say the same is possible with GunBroker if Fiocchi's site says differently.

Still got better SD than the 165s, at least. Corbon and others would get their 165s up to 1100 or so, but I have no idea how you accomplish this in saami specs - dayum!

Maybe I'll hang onto my 24/7 OSS-DS .45 long enough to run these through the 35P.

Well I just spoke with sales and she had no knowledge of a load like that. Said the xtp loads are more around 900-1000fps.

So must be a copy and pausted typo.

Hornady's 7th Edition doesn't show a single load over 1050 FPS with that bullet. I know that their data is on the mild side but dayum! I'd have to see those chron'd before I believe it. If they do go that fast wouldn't shoot them in my guns. That's faster than a either of the Federal .357 Magnum loads. The 125 grain JHP and the 130 grain Hydrashok. It just 10 FPS short of the Hornady 125 grain CD load with the FTX bullet and that's stated out of a 8" barrel.

I'm calling BS or it's very seriously over pressured.

I've always heard that Hornady's max load data was usually at the max edge of safe pressures.

I don't like how hornady xtp and Critical defense rounds are under loaded a bit. I love the critical defense bullet with the red insert but I want more than 350lbft of muzzle energy from a 45. I can get that and plenty more from most 9mm defense loads.

Remember though... it's not necessarily how fast it goes. Personally, I'm not a fan of +P anything.
