If someone from Tulsa wants to carpool to one of these, shoot me a PM.

I've never done any kind of practical shooting before, and I'm probably one of the worst pistol shots on the planet, but it looks really fun.

E: Also I'm a huge goober so I'm going to be shooting with a P6 (single-stack 9mm). Will be furiously practicing mag changes.

IIRC first time shooters are free too!:Heya:

Can someone post directions to the club from Tulsa? I checked the club website but the directions are like "go past the big oak tree; if you see a dead possum in the middle of the road you've gone too far."

The range is in Warner, about 3.5 miles west of the college. As you come into Warner on Hwy 64 heading south, turn right on College Road. Stay on this road, go past the college. The road (E 1050 RD) will turn into a gravel road going up a hill, keep following it until you come to a T intersection, go right, follow the road, it will curve down to the left follow it until on the right you see two telephone poles with red stripes painted on them, and an MGC sign. Take this road follow it all the way thru the gate and there you are. If you can take a look at E 1050 Rd on Google maps you can get a pretty good idea of where the range is. It is between N 4300 Rd and N 4290 Rd on the north side. Someone else will probably come along and tell you how to get there from Hwy 69.

Alright. I followed that on Google Maps' satellite view and I think I can see what you're talking about. It's a bit of a drive for me but I'll see if I can make it for one of these shoots. TU's CS department has a surprising number of gun nuts (lots of the security guys are ex-military) so I may be able to bring a few new competitors.

I don't need to be a member to shoot in competitions, right? I can only afford to join one gun club at a time, and I have no plans to quit Red Castle.
